Now if you know me, you will know I am a big fan of both of these places. But why am I blogging about places that you can also find outside of Austin? The answer is simple - one 30 second walk across the street. Yes, let this sink in. One of Austin's swankiest lounges and one of the top dance halls are across the street from each other.
Where else in the world can you rub shoulders with some of Austin's top young professionals in an upscale W lounge, take a 30 second walk across the street, and find yourself on top of a mechanical bull? Only in Austin.
I truly feel that dynamics like these are what has led to such a unique culture here in my hometown. No matter what you are wearing, whether it be a navy blazer or a Stetson crown, everyone is always happy to welcome you to the party, no matter where that party might be.
